The following services are offered by the Students Services Department of the University

All Payments must be made through the ktu connect platform at the following bank (adb, gcb, umb, fidelity, republic bank,) using student index number
Transcript
A transcript is a record of all courses attempted and all results obtained by a student.
An official transcript can be obtained within 30 minutes after submitting the request at the Students Service Department all things being equal. Except for persons who graduated from the University before 2012.
The following is the process for acquiring a transcript:
- Pay the required fee for the transcript at the bank
- Pick a Transcript Requisition Form from the Students Services Department.
- Take a receipt from the Revenue and Payables office.
- Attach the receipt to the Transcript Requisition Form and add a copy of any National Identification (ID) card.
- Submit the documents to the Students Services Department.
Note: Persons requesting a transcript on behalf of others shall be required to provide the following:
- An authority note from the actual owner of the transcript.
- A copy of any National Identification (ID) card of the actual owner of the transcript.
- A copy of any National Identification (ID) card of the person requesting the transcript.
Fees for Transcripts
- Within Ghana – Gh¢30.00
- Outside Ghana – Gh¢50.00
Attestation/Introductory /English Proficiency letters
Attestation letters are issued upon request by completed /continuing students to introduce them to an organisation or institution. The letter indicates the status of the student and may also be issued in lieu of lost certificates.
Introductory letters are issued upon request by continuing students to introduce them to High Commissions/Embassies, Banks, Passport Office, etc.
English proficiency is a certificate issued to students to attest to a student’s ability to use the English Language to communicate verbally and in writing during their program of study.
The Attestation/Introductory / English Proficiency letters can be obtained within 30 minutes after submitting the request.
The following is the process for acquiring Attestation/introductory letter:
- Pay the required fee for Attestation/Introductory/ English Proficiency letters at the bank.
- Pick an Attestation/Introductory/ English Proficiency letter Requisition Form from the Students Services Department.
- Take a receipt from the Revenue and Payables office.
- Attach the receipt to the Attestation/Introductory/ English Proficiency letter Requisition Form.
- Submit the documents at the Students Services Department.
Fees for the Services
- Attestation/Introductory letter – Gh¢15.00
- English Proficiency – Gh¢30.00
Replacement of Students Identification Card
The following is the process for replacing the Students Identification Card:
- Pay Gh¢20.00 at the bank.
- Pick ID Card Replacement Requisition Form from the Students Services Department.
- Take a receipt from the Revenue and Payables office.
- Attach the receipt to the ID Card replacement Requisition Form.
- Submit documents at the Students Services Department.
Certificates
A certificate is awarded to a candidate who has been properly admitted to the University, discharged all obligations to the University, and satisfactorily completed all University required courses and Faculty and Departmental requirements prescribed for the award of a Diploma or a Degree.
Note: Certificates are not issued to third parties.
The following is the process for acquiring Certificates:
- Pay the required fee for the certificate at the bank
- Pick a Certificate Requisition Form from the Students Services Department.
- Take a receipt from the Revenue and Payables office.
- Attach the receipt, a copy of your Clearance Form and a copy of any National Identification (ID) Card.
- Submit the documents at the Students Services Department for collection.
Fees for Certificates
- Bachelor of Technology (B’Tech) – Gh¢350.00
- Higher National Diploma (HND) – Gh¢300.00
- Diploma in Public Administration (DPA) – Gh¢300.00
- Non-Tertiary Programmes – Gh¢250.00
Certification of Certificates
Certified copies can be used to apply for educational or for job applications.
The following is the process for acquiring Certified copies:
- Pay GH¢5.00 per copy at the bank through KTU Connect
- Pick a Certification of Certificate Form from the Students Services Department.
- Take a receipt from the Revenue and Payables office.
- Attach the receipt to the Certification of Certificate Form.
- Submit the receipt, original Certificate, and number of copies to be certified at the Students Services Department.
Replacement of Certificates
The University does not replace lost certificates.
A former student who misplaces his /her certificate may apply for an attestation letter in lieu of the certificate.
