Dr. Frank Agyen Dwomoh is a distinguished academic and seasoned leader in higher education, currently serving as the Dean of International Programs and Institutional Linkages (IPIL) at Koforidua Technical University (KTU), Ghana. With an extensive background in mechanical engineering and water resources engineering, Dr. Dwomoh holds a PhD in Fluid Machinery Engineering from Jiangsu University, China, an MSc in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.

Dr. Dwomoh’s career spans over two decades of academic and administrative excellence at KTU, where he has held key leadership positions, including Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, director, Directorate of Research and innovation and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. As Dean of IPIL, he has led initiatives to foster international collaborations, enhance the university’s global presence, and advance academic partnerships with institutions worldwide.

His research expertise is primarily focused on fluid machinery, irrigation systems, and water resources management. Dr. Dwomoh has contributed to numerous high-impact publications and continues to be an active voice in the field, addressing critical issues such as sustainable water management and the design of advanced fluid systems. He has also played a pivotal role in the establishment of KTU’s research culture, including founding the Applied Research Fund and overseeing several international research conferences.

A respected member of various national and international committees, Dr. Dwomoh has been instrumental in shaping accreditation processes for several technical universities in Ghana and has helped guide KTU through the successful accreditation of numerous engineering programmes. His leadership has facilitated partnerships with global organizations, enhancing KTU’s reputation as a hub for innovation and research excellence.

Dr. Dwomoh’s dedication to academic and professional development is reflected in his active membership in several engineering bodies, including the Engineering Council of Ghana, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Ghana, and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). His career is marked by a commitment to enhancing educational standards and fostering international collaborations that contribute to sustainable development in the engineering and technology sectors.
