The Governing Council of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) is pleased to announce the search for a Chancellor for the University in accordance with the Statutes of the University. The Chancellor shall be the Head of the University and shall be responsible for conferring degrees, diplomas, and other academic awards to graduates during the University’s ceremonies.
The Chancellor shall also play an essential role in guiding the University towards achieving excellence in academic, research, and community service. To this end, the person to be nominated must have the following qualities:
- A distinguished Ghanaian with vast experience and knowledge in leadership;
- A visionary individual with a track record of strategic planning, execution, and achievement of institutional goals;
- Must have fundraising skills and the ability to mobilize funding from various sources for the University’s operations, research, and infrastructure development;
- A charismatic and effective communicator with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the broader community;
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the University Council, the Vice Chancellor, and the Management team towards achieving the University’s vision and mission;
- Sound judgment and integrity, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and business acumen.
