Koforidua Technical University (KTU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Assistant Lecturers and Administrative/Professional Staff in the following teaching and non-teaching areas: 

(A) TEACHING AREAS

Qualification:
Applicants must have Ph.D. or MPhil (with evidence of pursuing a Ph.D.) and must have attained the appropriate rank with considerable teaching experience in a University and/or analogous institution. Relevant professional qualifications and Industrial experience will be an added advantage. 

  1. Assistant Research Fellow

Qualification: Applicant must hold a relevant research Masters’ degree. The ability to write grant proposals will be an added advantage.

(B) NON-TEACHING AREAS

  1. Deputy Internal Auditor

     Qualifications & Experience: The applicant must:

  • Possess a minimum of research Masters’ degree in Finance/ Accounting or relevant field,
  • Be a Chartered Accountant with membership with recognized professional bodies such as ACCA/ ICA/ CPA/ CIMA;
  • Have served as a Senior Internal Auditor in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least six (6) years OR from industry OR public practice with at least ten (10) years managerial experience;
  • Be computer literate and conversant with accounting/auditing software applications.

The applicant shall be required to support his/her application with papers (i.e. write-up on work done, position papers, value-added papers) and publication for two (2) External Assessors evaluation.

In addition, the applicant must:

  • Be analytical, critical, result-oriented, innovative, and visionary;
  • Possess hands-on ability to work independently;
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills; accounting and auditing software;
  • Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines; and
  • Possess proactive commercial flair

Note:   Evidence of membership of CISA will be an added advantage.

  1. Deputy Director of Works and Physical Development

Qualification:  The Applicant must:

  • Have a minimum of a Masters’s degree in the Built Environment or relevant area plus relevant professional qualification.
  • Have served as Senior Assistant Development Officer in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least six (6) years.
  • Be computer literate

In addition, the applicant shall be required to support his/her application with papers (i.e. write-up on work done, position papers, value-added papers) and publication for two (2) External Assessors evaluation.

  1. Senior Assistant Internal Auditor

Qualification: Applicant must:

  • Be a Chartered Accountant and hold a minimum of a Masters’ degree in the relevant field.
  • Have served as Assistant Internal Auditor in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least six (6) years.
  • Be computer literate and conversant with accounting/auditing software applications.
  • Be required to support his/her application with papers (i.e. write-up on work done, position papers, value-added papers) and publication for two (2) External Assessors evaluation.
  1. Assistant ICT Officers
    Qualification:  Minimum of Masters’ degree in the relevant field and must have at least six (6) years post-qualification experience in a senior management position in information technology management in a tertiary institution, industry, or any relevant public service organization.
  1. Medical Officer / Director
    Qualification: MB. ChB or its equivalent, be a qualified Medical Doctor, duly registered by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council. Applicant must have six (6) years post-qualification experience and must have practiced in institutions of similar standing.
  1. Optometrist
    Qualification: Postgraduate Diploma in Optometry/ Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of three (3) years working experience.
  1. Nurses
    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution with a valid practicing license OR State Registered Nurse (SRN) with the Nurses and Midwifery Council with a minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience.
  1. Medical /Physician Assistants
    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or its equivalent. Applicants must be professionally qualified with a considerable period of experience.
  1. Assistant Accountants
    Qualification: Applicant must be a Chartered Accountant and hold a Masters’ degree in the relevant field.

10. ICT Assistants
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree OR Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science
or relevant field with a considerable length of experience.

11. Library Assistant
Qualification: Diploma in Library/Archival/Information Studies awarded by a recognized
institution. Must have functional knowledge in ICT.

12. Senior Development Assistant
Qualification: Relevant Bachelor’s degree OR relevant Higher National Diploma (HND)
and must have served in the grade of Development Assistant in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least four (4) years. Applicants must be computer literate.

13. Administrative Assistants
Qualification: Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretaryship and Management Studies OR
Private Secretary Certificate holders with four (4) years post qualification experience.

14. Accounting Assistants
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Higher National Diploma (Accountancy)

15. Auditing Assistants
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Higher National Diploma (Accountancy)

16. Drivers
Qualification: Must possess a minimum of a valid Driving License D and must have at least three BECE passes. GCE ‘O’ Level/WASSCE/SSSCE Certificate shall be an advantage.

17. Security Guards
Qualification: Must possess at least five (5) School Certificate/ GCE ‘O’ Level passes OR five (5) WASSCE /SSSCE passes including the English Language. Must be physically fit and not below 20 years of age.

18. Technician (Air Conditioner /Electricals)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree / HND in relevant field with a considerable length of experience
OR Possess Part (III) of relevant Technician Certificate.

19. Laboratory Technicians

• Building Technology
• Fashion Design
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or HND in relevant field with a considerable length of
experience.
