KTU Signs MoU with NAYT Consult to Launch German Language Studies Programme

Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has taken a significant step towards expanding international opportunities for its students through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAYT Consult Limited to introduce German Language Studies and facilitate access to employment and apprenticeship pathways in Germany.

The agreement, signed on Friday, 2nd October 2026, marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at equipping students and young people with German language proficiency and preparing them for opportunities in one of Europe’s leading economies.

Under the partnership, German language training programmes will be offered to KTU students and other interested participants who aspire to pursue employment, apprenticeship, or professional development opportunities in Germany. The initiative is expected to provide participants with the linguistic and cultural competencies required to navigate international work environments successfully.

The programme will focus on preparing participants for opportunities in sectors where skilled professionals are in demand, including healthcare, skilled trades, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, and logistics. Through structured language instruction and career guidance, beneficiaries will gain a better understanding of the requirements and expectations associated with working and training in Germany.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, representatives of both institutions expressed confidence that the partnership would create valuable opportunities for young people while strengthening international collaboration and skills development.

KTU management noted that the initiative aligns with the University’s vision of producing globally competitive graduates equipped with practical skills and international exposure. The collaboration is also expected to enhance the employability of students by providing them with additional competencies that are increasingly valued in the global labour market.

The University emphasized that participation in the programme does not constitute a guarantee of employment, apprenticeship placement, or visa approval. Interested applicants will be required to satisfy all relevant German immigration, employment, educational, and other eligibility requirements before being considered for opportunities abroad.

NAYT Consult Limited was represented at the signing ceremony by its Managing Director, Mr. Agyenna Kesse-Tachi, who formally signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

The partnership underscores KTU’s commitment to fostering international engagement, promoting lifelong learning, and creating pathways that enable students and young people to access global opportunities while contributing meaningfully to national and international development.
