KTU Schedules Mandatory In-Person Orientation for 2026/2027 Fresh Students

Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has scheduled a two-day in-person orientation programme for all newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The programme will take place on Thursday, 15th October and Friday, 16th October 2026, at the Abba Bentil Theatre, near the Basketball Court, on the University campus. Activities will commence at 8:40 a.m. each day, with all fresh students required to be seated by 8:30 a.m.

According to an official notice issued by the Office of the Registrar on 14th October 2026, the orientation programme is designed to formally welcome newly admitted students into the University community and provide them with essential information to support their academic journey.

The programme will offer fresh students the opportunity to interact with University Management and key administrative offices responsible for providing academic, welfare and other student support services throughout their stay at KTU.

Preparing Fresh Students for University Life

The orientation programme forms an important part of the University's efforts to ensure that newly admitted students are adequately prepared for academic and campus life.

Participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the University's academic environment, institutional policies, student responsibilities and available support services.

Freshmen and freshwomen are encouraged to take full advantage of the programme by actively participating in the sessions, asking relevant questions and engaging with University officials to gain a better understanding of campus life.

Attendance Is Mandatory

University Management wishes to emphasise that attendance at the orientation programme is mandatory for all newly admitted students.

All fresh students are therefore expected to report to the Abba Bentil Theatre on both days and ensure that they are seated by 8:30 a.m. to allow the programme to begin promptly at 8:40 a.m.

Students are advised to arrive early, observe the scheduled reporting time and participate fully in the activities.

Official Communication

The announcement was contained in a notice dated 14th October 2026, signed by Mr. Timothy Fiadzoe, Head of Division (Human Resource), on behalf of the Registrar.

The University looks forward to welcoming all newly admitted students and wishes them a successful and fulfilling academic journey at Koforidua Technical University.
