KTU Clinic Launches Free Breast Screening Campaign for Pink Month 2026

The Koforidua Technical University (KTU) Clinic has announced a Free Breast Screening Campaign as part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink Month) 2026.

Observed globally every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month seeks to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, and improve access to timely diagnosis and quality healthcare. In support of this global initiative, the KTU Clinic is offering free breast screening services throughout the month of October to staff, students, and members of the general public.

According to the Clinic, the campaign forms part of its commitment to holistic healthcare and aligns with efforts to reduce breast cancer-related mortality through education, early detection, and access to essential support services. The initiative also aims to challenge the misconception that breast cancer affects only women by encouraging broader awareness and understanding of the disease.

The screening exercise will provide participants with valuable information on breast cancer risk factors, early warning signs, preventive measures, and the importance of routine screening.

The KTU Clinic encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity, emphasising that early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes and saves lives.
