Koforidua Technical University has achieved a remarkable milestone, as its ICT Director was honored with the Legend Award at the World CIO 200 Summit 2025 – Ghana Edition, held on May 20, 2025, at Alisa Hotel, North Ridge.
The Legend Award, the highest at the summit, was conferred by the Global CIO Forum Committee in recognition of the Director’s exceptional contributions to technological advancement and organizational excellence. This honor reflects not only individual achievement but the collective efforts of the ICT Directorate in driving digital transformation within the university.
The event, themed “Dawn of a New Decade,” brought together leading IT professionals, industry pioneers, and changemakers for engaging workshops, thought-provoking keynotes, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Awards were presented in four categories—Next-Gen, Leader, Master, and the most distinguished Legend Award—which our ICT Director was privileged to receive.
Speaking on this achievement, Director Opoku Debrah expressed gratitude for the support and collaboration within the university community. He emphasized that the award is a shared success, underscoring the institution’s commitment to innovation and technological excellence.
This recognition reinforces the university’s status as a hub for digital transformation and forward-thinking leadership.
